Damas Gratis: Unexpected Concert

The best concert I have ever been, was the one of Damas Gratis, an argentine group of cumbia, in January of 2020, when the Coronavirus already existed but it wasn't such a big deal as the crisis that we have now. I arrived the night before the concert to the Chiloe island in the city of Castro, without any idea about the concert in that moment, and I met some guys that were in the same place where I was camping and they told me that there will be a concert of Damas Gratis in Dalcahue that is 40 minutes from Castro and they asked if I wanted to join to their group to go together to the concert. My answer was of course yes, because it is one of my favorite groups of cumbia and the concert was for free! 

The concert took place in a field open air and very spaceful, there were people selling typical food and drinks from the island and the atmosphere was very familiar with people of any age. Meanwhile, the space was getting more and more crowded, waiting to see the concert. It started with a little group from the zone that opened for Damas Gratis and at 12 o'clock Pablo Lescano, the singer and leader of the group, appeared playing with his piano the song “Quieren Bajarme”. I remember very well how crazy all the people were, from young to old, singing and dancing to the rhythm of the cumbia. After 2 hours playing it seemed to be finishing, when Pablo Lescano asked the public if they should keep playing or not and the answer was a strong yes from the people screaming. Then the concert extended 1 hour else. When it finished I couldn’t hold my body, me and our group were so exhausted but we kept singing and dancing on our way to the camping place. The group was so powerful and talented in the presentation that my fanaticism grew even more. It was an unforgettable night and probably one of the best ones.

 When someone ask me about my future job, I think I would like to work in something that doesn't make me feel I'm in a job, like being payed for doing what you most like to do.   What is your opinion about the Chilean politicians? I think chilean politicians have had a lot of chances to make changes in the last 20 years but it haven't been the case, the people is sick of hearing the same promises that never happen, so the politicians have lost the legitimacy .
